Privacy notice
Which personal data we process when you visit this page, and how to exercise your rights. Notice under Articles 13 and 14 of the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679). Updated 18 October 2026.
Data controller
The controller is Francesco Imbalzano.
For any request about your data: icemail@iczone.it.
When you visit the site
The site is hosted by Firebase Hosting, a Google service. Like any web server, when you open a page it records the technical details of the request: IP address, date and time, the address requested and the type of browser. They are needed to keep the site running and to protect it from abuse and failures (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Retention periods are those Google sets for the service.
The site is a single page that shows a background video. It has no forms, no accounts and no comments, sets no cookies, has no analytics or advertising tools and no visit counter, and loads nothing from other sites: the page, the video and the images all come from iczone.it. That is why there is no cookie banner.
The page iczone.it/demo/ is a sample digital menu (“Trattoria Demo”) made by IS4ICT as a demonstration. Its content is made up, it has no forms, and like the rest of the site it sets no cookies and loads nothing from other sites.
When you write to us
The site has no forms: if you want to contact us, write to icemail@iczone.it. We process your email address, your name if you give it and the content of your message, including any data you choose to include. We use them to reply to you and to manage the relationship that follows, if one follows. Legal basis: the pre-contractual steps you ask us to take (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) or, for general requests, our legitimate interest in replying to those who write to us (Article 6(1)(f)).
Giving us your data is optional, but without it we cannot reply. We keep the data for as long as it is needed for this purpose and delete it as soon as you ask, except what the law requires us to keep. To exercise your rights, see “Your rights”.
Who receives your data
To do what is described above we use Google, for Firebase Hosting (the website), and the email service that hosts the mailbox of icemail@iczone.it, for messages.
We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it on to others for their own purposes. We may disclose it to public authorities when the law requires it.
Some of these suppliers may process data outside the European Economic Area. They do so under the safeguards provided by the GDPR (Articles 44 onwards), described in their own privacy notices.
Your rights
Under Articles 15–22 of the GDPR you can obtain from us:
- access to your data and a copy of it (Article 15);
- rectification of data that is inaccurate or incomplete (Article 16);
- erasure (Article 17);
- restriction of processing (Article 18);
- notification to recipients of any rectification, erasure or restriction (Article 19);
- portability of the data you gave us, in a readable format (Article 20);
- objection to processing based on legitimate interest (Article 21);
- the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that has effects on you (Article 22).
To exercise them, write to icemail@iczone.it, stating the email address concerned. We reply without undue delay and in any case within one month (Article 12 GDPR); if the request is complex, that period may be extended by two months, and we will tell you.
If you believe the processing breaches the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), under Article 77 GDPR.
Updates
If the way we process data changes, we will update this page and its date. Last updated: 18 October 2026.
